History

Downton Brewery is a microbrewery situated in rural South Wiltshire, and has been brewing since 2003. We have a 20 barrel brewplant and are capable of brewing up to 60 barrels a week (at a push!)

"Providing exceptional ales direct to your door at a great price"

Our mission statement is, and has always has been, to produce quality beers using only the finest ingredients, and to supply these at a fair and reasonable price to the trade and the public alike. As often as possible we experiment with new and interesting raw materials and beer styles; on top of our award winning session bitters, our range of high-gravity and spiced ales is rare - especially amongst small-scale family run operations such as ours.

During our 11 year history, we have made use of; barley, wheat, oat and rye malts; hops from nine different countries (and still counting); a wide range of fruits, herbs, spices and honey; and a variety of spirit and liqueur essences. All of this makes us a remarkably versatile brewery, capable of brewing beers to delight any drinker!
