Maroonmaker Mild

Maroonmaker Mild, 3.3%:

Our chestnut coloured mild was first brewed in April 2004, and remains a springtime favourite. A surprisingly full-bodied malty flavour is well matched with a delicate hoppy aroma from East Kent Goldings and Tettnang hops.

Available: April - May

Black Knight Bitter

Black Knight Bitter, 4.1%:

A dark bitter beer with pronounced burnt malt flavours. Strong citrus notes from Styrian Goldings and Tettnang hops balance the roasted malty bitterness.

Available: December - February

German Pale Ale

German Pale Ale, 4.2%:

Four varieties of German hops (Perle, Tettnang, Mittlefruh, and Spalter Select) add herbal, floral flavours and a fresh aroma to this golden coloured bitter.  Available:  September – October.

Mad Hare

Mad Hare, 4.4%:

A copper coloured beer with spicy aromas balanced by a rich hoppy flavour. Brewed using: Pale, chocolate, and roasted barley malts; Mittlefruh and Challenger hops; and a unique blend of ginger, lemongrass and coriander.

Available: This Ale is no longer in production

All Rounder

All Rounder, 4.4%:

A copper coloured beer where spicy aromas are balanced by citrus hop flavours. This beer is brewed using Pale, Roasted and Chocolate malted barley together with East Kent Goldings and Tettnang hops. Hits of lemongrass and ginger add to this aromatic brew. 

Available: July - August.

Honey Porter

Honey Porter, 4.4%:

Polish hops (Lublin and Marynka) and Mexican honey provide the ideal balance to the dark roasted malts in this remarkably fresh tasting porter.

Available: December – January.

Downton Abbey Ale

Downton Abbey Ale, 4.2%:

A blend of traditional smoked and amber malts that provides a toasted, biscuity flavour to this well crafted amber best bitter. Fuggles and German Mittlefruh hops add a delicate floral aroma and a clean hoppy bitterness.

Downton Gem

Downton Gem, 4.5%:

A ruby red premium bitter with a rich, resinous berry flavour derived from New Zealand Pacific Gem hops. These unique hops complement the full bodied bitterness of Chocolate and Wheat Crystal malts.

Downton Light

Downton Light, 3.7%:

A golden delicately hopped session beer with crystal malt adding a subtle body to the mild hoppy bitterness. American Liberty hops also provide a distinctive lemon citrus aroma.

Chimera Pilsner

Chimera Pilsner, 4.2%:

A pale larger style beer perfect for the summer. Czech Saaz and Styrian Goldings hops provide a perfect aroma and flavour for this highly quaffable beer.

Figaro Magnifico

Figaro Magnifico, 4.6%:

A light red coloured premium beer with a resinous hoppy bitterness that is balanced by the rich sweetness of figs in this wonderfully orginal offering.

Available: July.

Apple Blossom Ale

Apple Blossom Ale, 4.3%:

A pale delightfully moreish bitter combining well balanced malt and hops with the light floral aroma of fresh apples. 

Winter Solstice

Winter Solstice, 4.6%:

A red coloured premium bitter using dark coloured malts and an abundance of English hops that provide a superb blalance of rich flavours and a resinous hoppiness. An ideal beer for the long winter evenings.
